Air cooler should undergo basic daily maintenance and inspections during use to ensure their longevity.
1. Daily Inspections:
1) Check that the air cooler's power ground wire is properly connected and that the air switch or leakage current circuit breaker is functioning properly.Check that the power connectors between the power supply and the air cooler's main control box are not loose, and that all phases are properly connected to the air cooler's connectors.
2) Check that the water supply is flowing normally and is not blocked, that the water level in the water tank is normal, and that the float valve or solenoid valve is not blocked or sluggish.
3) Check the water distributor and water hose connections if have looseness or deterioration.
4) Check that the drain valve is functioning properly and if the sealing ring is not deteriorating or clogged with dirt.
5) Check the water pump shaft if it is rust and not running.
6) Check that the water inlet hose is not deteriorating or cracked. Clean any debris from the air cooler water tank.
7) For air coolers installed with motorized air grill, check that the motor is functioning properly.
8) Check whether cooling pad is damaged
2. Precautions for using the air cooler:
1) Check that the power is on before turning on the cooler;
2) Keep the outdoor air cooler away from all sources of fire; in case of thunderstorms, disconnect the power switch;
3) Unless under special circumstances (except in places where it must be run 24 hours a day), turn off the power when the air cooler is not in use during get off work hours to allow it to rest after running for several hours, thus increasing its lifespan and performance.
4) When turning off the cooler, first turn off the wall controller switch, then disconnect the power. Never turn off the power switch directly while the air cooler is running;
5) If the air cooler is found to be not cooling or not ventilating during use, check the fault information on the wall controller, turn off the air cooler, and wait for after-sales personnel to provide on-site service;
6) Ensure adequate exhaust ventilation when using the air cooler;
7) During hot and very high humid weather, turn off the "cooling" switch and set the "ventilation" setting to its maximum value. Because air coolers are less effective during high humid and hot weather;
8) Do not turn on the air cooler during heavy rain to prevent rainwater from being drawn into the room.
9) Evaporative air coolers are energy-efficient and easy to maintain, requiring no professional maintenance. However, since the outdoor unit is installed outdoors, to ensure good cooling performance and airflow quality, it is essential to perform a minor cleaning every seven days (by pressing the drain button on the controller), a medium cleaning every thirty days (thorough manual cleaning of the air cooler's water tank and evaporative filter), and a major cleaning (cleaning and disinfection) once a year.
3. How to shut down and clean your air cooler in winter:
1) Turn off power of air cooler. When cleaning the air cooler, completely disconnect the power. Place a "Maintenance in Progress, Do Not Use" sign at the control switch to prevent accidental startup and potential danger.
2) Open the air cooler side panels.
3) Separate cooling pad and side panel.
4) Clean cooling pad. Use a soft brush. Be careful when removing cooling pad. Do not use too high water pressure when rinsing to avoid damaging the wet pad. Avoid using any corrosive chemicals to prevent corrosion.
5) Clean the air cooler chassis and open the drain valve to drain any remaining wastewater.
6) After cleaning the air cooler, close the water inlet valve.
7) Install the air cooler side panels and open the ventilation system to evaporate moisture from the filter and chassis.
8) Install the dust cover.
9) Turn off power of the air cooler.
